David Kent Petersen (Harmony vocals, Bass, Harmonica)

Bio

By age 5, Dan and Dave's mother had them singing in a children’s group. At age 16 they were taught the guitar and some classic western songs by their father Kent. He inspired them to start writing songs at age 18. They've been writing and performing together ever since.

In 1999, they formed the band 'Humma-Jeeba.' They released a self-titled demo in 2002. Having been separated by 1,000 miles for 3 years, the two collaborated as often as they could, whether by email, webcam, phone, or the occasional 'reunion' visit. Despite the distance they managed to record the self-titled demo 'Half Cowboy.'

Half Cowboy's style is an eclectic mix of pop rock and western (a la Matchbox 20 meets Hank Williams). Their passion for unique music that uplifts, inspires, and simply brings a smile continues to drive their work each day. They've shared the stage with the likes of Corbin Allred and Peter Breinholt.

Panguitch All School Reunion

We had the opportunity to perform during the Panguitch All School Reunion/24th of July festivities in a Main Street Music spot. It was fun to play along the side of other great friends and musicians like Corbin Allred, who is probably best known for his role in the movie "Saints and Soldiers."

The energy was high and we felt we connected well with the audience. That's always a plus when performing. We thank all who came out to see us and support us. It's the people like you that makes performing so much fun. It's just not the same playing alone behind closed doors.

Dan and I were talking after the show and we decided it was probably the most fun, high energy show we've had since we had a drummer back in 2002. We are confident there will be many more to come as we continue our musical adventures. As you can see, my daughter was having as much fun as we were:)
